I came to this area after being away for 33 years. Being single & wanting a small home, was interested in a patio home (ranch type, 1 level). My sister showed me a house in Ligonier that I liked. I made a phone call & got in touch with Mike.
Mike not only showed me & my sister the house later that day, but he showed it to me & my brother the next day. It turns out that I chose a patio home in my hometown of Greensburg that suited me a little better. Before this, Mike & I spent 3 weeks looking for homes, pulling up listings of patio homes in the area & in my price range, and visiting each.
After selecting the home that I wanted, Mike looked up similar homes that sold recently, & advised me to submit a proposal 6% below the asking price. We settled at 3% below the asking price, saving me $5,000. Mike went with me to the home inspection & advised me to get a radon test. The radon level was 4 times the action level. The seller agreed to pay to have a radon extraction system installed. Mike got me in touch with professionals who were able to get me a 4.25% loan, and with professionals who got me the best price on combined auto/home insurance. Mike was with me at closing. Mike was with me the entire house hunting experience.
